Celebrate “Mardi Gras Sunday” and Decorate Your Own Donuts – March 3
Cultures around the world celebrate the season of Carnival, Karneval, Martedi Grasson, or Mardi Gras – even when it starts long before Shrove Tuesday - a time of indulgence before the mindful contemplation and repentance of Lent. We’ll celebrate on March 3 during and after worship. Please wear your (G-rated) Mardi Gras clothing – beads, baubles, bow ties, boas, and bright colors - and join us following worship for a “Decorate Your Own Donuts” party! Instead of our usual hospitality hour, the Deacons will provide fresh plain donuts, frosting, and toppings, so you can decorate your own “designer donuts” to enjoy! The Deacons will be on hand to assist with the decorating. If you wish, we invite you to bring your own special, creative toppings to enjoy and share with others. Please join us in the Courtyard Room for this fun event for everyone!!
