Sara Parker will review Abram X. Kendi's recent book, How to Be an Antiracist.  Kendi challenges us to see that racism begins not with the prejudice of individuals but with the policies of political and economic power.  Kendi urges us to consider new definitions:  That the opposite of "racist" is not "not racist" but rather "anti-racist"--that there is no "safe" space where we can avoid the consequences of our choices.  That all policies are either racist or anti-racist--they either support equity or they don't.  Kendi's ideas become more meaningful as he breaks down the abstract idea into specific examples, many of which he has experienced personally.  All are welcome
