Anti-Racism Pilgrimage to Montgomery

February 15, 2020. All day

Organizer: Bill Saint

Please join us on this unique visit over President’s Day weekend.  It promises to be a moving and transformative experience.

We will visit the Peace and Justice Memorial, the Legacy Museum: From Enslavement to Mass Incarceration, the Civil Rights Museum, and the Rosa Parks Museum.  We also hope to worship at the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church where Martin Luther King served as pastor during his time in Montgomery.

Accommodations are at the downtown Hampton Inn, from which we can walk to the several sites of interest.  We estimate costs for roundtrip airfare, two hotel nights and meals to be about $750. We ask participants to pay their own way; however, it is possible that the church will be able to partially subsidize the travel of a few individuals. Participants are responsible for making their own airline arrangements, but we have reserved a limited number of hotel rooms.

To reserve a place and obtain more information, please contact Bill Saint.
