Giving – Presence, Place, Persistence

We have all received God’s great abundance. Together, we return God’s generosity toWPCGenerosityTree the world through our commitments of time, talent, and financial support. Here is how your generosity is changing lives every day through Western’s ministries.

Ministry of Presence

Your generosity ensures our staff and lay leaders can be present when and where they are needed—praying at a hospital bedside, celebrating a wedding, planning a children’s activity, rehearsing music for worship, or offering an open door to a struggling college student.

Ministry of Place

Western has been a presence in Foggy Bottom for more than 150 years, and maintaining our “new” building, now it its 20th year, ensures a home for a wide range of worship, outreach, music, fellowship, education, and community-based programs that share our facility, such as: Miriam’s Kitchen, Project Create, Gospel Light (Ethiopian Ministry), several self-help organizations, local concert series, local college students, and a prayer group.

Ministry of Persistence

Through both volunteer and financial support, Western stays where we are needed to improve lives in our neighborhood, our Presbytery, across our nation and around the world.
