DC Vigils Against Racism

All Souls Unitarian Church ( https://all-souls.org) is continuing its vigil against racism every Friday through the month of June.  Today from 5:00 to 6:00 pm folks can gather along 16th Street NSW  is to show solidarity together in a public action against racism and police violence.  If you aren’t near 16th Street you can gather in your own neighborhoods or your home.  Participating churches on 16th will toll their bells at 5:45 for 8 minutes, 46 seconds, and vigil participants are asked to kneel and/or pray silently in their own tradition for that time.  In your neighborhood or at your home, you can stop at 5:45 pm to pray in silence in the memory of George Floyd and for the dismantling of racist policies and practices in our country.  Western will ring its bell in solidarity with other churches and people everywhere who are taking a stand against racism.  More information is available at All Souls website or facebook page.  https://www.facebook.com/AllSoulsChurchUnitarian
